I am a nationally respected litigator and personal injury lawyer with nearly two decades of experience and focus my practice on obtaining justice for clients suffering from mesothelioma, the trauma of institutional sexual abuse, and other serious injuries. I am proud to have earned industry recognition for fierce advocacy, legal acumen, and deep compassion when representing my clients and their families.

Why I Do What I Do

When I was a child, my dad suffered a serious injury in a construction accident. I remember our family looking for help to face the challenges that lay ahead but struggling to find a compassionate attorney willing to fight hard to get him the compensation he deserved. I knew I never wanted to see that happen to another family again and have dedicated my career to helping victims of corporate and institutional misconduct get the justice they deserve.

Fighting for Mesothelioma Victims and Their Families

Mesothelioma is the result of asbestos exposure, whether on the job, using contaminated products, or living near a toxic environment. A mesothelioma diagnosis is particularly devastating for victims and their families since corporations often knew they were exposing people to a deadly toxin. As of December 2022, I’m proud to be the first woman to serve as Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel for the Massachusetts Asbestos Litigation docket, a role that is crucial to ensuring that cases get to trial and victims are able to pursue their mesothelioma legal claims.

A Compassionate, Fearless Advocate for Survivors of Sexual Abuse

My practice also focuses on helping survivors of institutional sexual abuse find justice, whatever that may look like for them. When the perpetrator is someone in a position of power, such as a physician, teacher, counselor, or other authority figure, the resulting trauma can last a lifetime. I know how difficult it can be to come forward, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where every survivor feels heard and believed. My goal is to help survivors of sexual abuse find justice, healing, and a sense of control.

My Approach: Personal, Compassionate, Dedicated

I’ve been part of the Shepard Law team since 2005 and have had the opportunity to zealously represent many families and make sure that someone is fighting hard for them. I take great pride in the relationships I have developed with my clients and their families. It is important for me to get to know my clients as individuals, so I can better advocate for them in their legal cases.

Having grown up in Worcester, MA, and as a current resident of Dedham, MA, I understand our Massachusetts clients. Every client is unique, and every family has different dynamics and needs that I try to address in order to make the legal process a little easier for everyone involved.
